Vivian Wenli Lin is currently
attending the Interactive Telecommunications Program at the
Tisch School of the Arts in New York Univeristy. Born and
raised in the city of San Francisco, California, Vivian graduted
from the infamous Lowell High School in 1997. Crossing the
Bay Bridge for her undergraduate experience in 1998, after
four years Vivian graduated without honors at the University
of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in Psychology and a
minor in Asian American Studies. Working after graduation
under the tutelage of Asian American filmmaker Loni Ding,
the year after college proved to be depressing and sloshed
with alcohol in the streets of San Francisco. Eventually motivating
enough to apply to graduate school, much to the surprise of
her friends she actually got in! Moving thousands of miles
to the East Coast in August of 2002, Vivian is currently living
in the heart of Brooklyn with her roommate and video conspirator,
Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi. Some projects she is currently working
on are: a documentary on women in hip hop on the East Coast,
Holler! The art of hollering, Hello Kitty is Undead: a video
workshop teaching 8 Chinese American high school students
to express themselves with video.
