• Script This 2004! This year was Smokin' Words first Script This event. We wanted to showcase the great work of the WordShop participants and celebrate a sessions worth of hard work and bonding. We also wanted to thank our audience with a free event with great food and entertainment. Smokin' Word is dedicated to building the new genre and this afforded us the opportunity to test out a new form of hop-hop spoken word performance. The event was successful beyond our expectations. We packed our space at Manhattan Theatre Club to the rafters. Over 125 people showed up. Two of the plays presented were fully produced in less than a year at Primary Stages and Lamam ETC.

• Claudia Alick Originally commissioned by The Drilling Company "BodyWork" is a poetical multimedia riff on feminist male gaze theory, Web De Bois' trope of the veil, and Sir Mix-A-Lot's "baby got back".
