Brian "Dyalekt" Kushner is an MC/Actor/Playwright/Journalist from Philadelphia , PA. After graduating High School in St.Croix , U.S. Virgin Islands, Dyalekt moved to New York for college and stayed for Hip Hop. His single Froze Up Meltdown is currently playing on college radio. He has been featured on stage with leading roles in Miguel Pinero's Short Eyes, Claudia Alick's audience award winning Six Hits , and Yolanda kae Wilkinson's A Musing . Behind the stage, Dyalekt assisted with the stage management of the Hip Hop musical History of the Word. Film credits include the award-winning documentary FREESTYLE: The Art of Rhyme. As a member of Freestyle Union, he toured colleges and high schools promoting mental growth using Freestyle MCing as a foundation. His first play, Heir to the Throne, made him the youngest person to write and direct a piece for The Village Voice's Hip Hop Theatre Festival.
